After Xerxes’ recent post, which outlined the template he’d like to see put in place here at the site…I’ve altered the plan somewhat. While he is on the track with most of it, I’ve added a new segment to the site to make it more segmented. Friday is traditionally the day that new releases open in movie theaters across the land (or the land that I live in, known as Canada). Okay, sure, Star Wars films always opened on Wednesdays, but beyond that all others open on Fridays. Except for sneak previews, which open on Thursdays more often than not. So beyond those as well, everything else opens on Fridays. Correct if I’m wrong - but I’ve thought this through and done my usual thorough research. Thanks, Wikipedia.

I had the privlege of interviewing "hybrid Eventualist" Carl Honoré, author of " Under Pressure: Rescuing Our Children from the Culture of Hyper-Parenting" and the best-selling "In Praise Of Slow" (or "Slowness", if you're in the U.S.A.) for next week's EffTD podcast. Be sure to give it a listen when the sixth installment of Effing The Dog: The Podcast. I've got plenty more of these EffTD Interviews in store for you, my faithful followers, so stay tuned...

The following is a guest post by Mike's cousin and personal assistant, Xerxes Vardy. I thought I'd interject today and let you know i'm trying to keep Mike on somewhat of a schedule when it comes to his posting of articles. Of course, he normally would buck this trend, but I've managed to keep it going in a rather unorthodox manner - by mildly scheduling what appears on the site and when. Here's where we stand so far:

It was only a matter of time when someone began to ride the coattails of my eventual success. Indeed, it has finally happened. And the culprit is none other than Mike Vardy.

Today's prEFFession is not an easy one to point out - but since I'm all about the controversy lately, I feel the time is right to reveal it. Teachers are some of the best students of EffTD I've ever come across, and because of their inate nature to teach others they also assist in furthering the doctrine even further. Only the clergy have more say in these types of matters, and they've got a very big hand to help them (and Hinduists have even more hands on their side). Now before you get all mad at me - and unless it's a slow boil to anger as opposed to a trigger-switch, you'll be ignoring the very ideology behind this site - you need to look at it from a different persepective. Namely mine.
